Mike Sanford is the Founder, Owner, CEO, and Managing Agent of Sanford Insurance. He serves as the President of the Professional Insurance Agents of Virginia/D.C. (PIA) as well as being a Registered Lobbyist for that Organization. PIA is an Insurance Industry Trade Organization stressing Professionalism, Education, and Legislation to benefit insurance consumers and Stakeholders. He taught insurance pre-licensing and continuing education courses for over 20 years while developing the agency to now serve a 10-state region. Mike holds an MBA from Averett University.

Carol has been with Sanford Insurance since October 1988.  She is the CFO of the agency and is a Property and Casualty licensed agent specializing in church insurance and related ministries. She graduated from Salisbury University, Salisbury, MD with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Rachel was born in Richmond, VA and has lived in Richmond, VA her entire life. She graduated from Lee-Davis High School in 2002 and attended JSRCC and VCU. Rachel began her career in insurance in April 2006 and has been with Sanford
Insurance since September 2006. She is an agent/producer in personal and commercial lines insurance. She enjoys football, baseball and spending time with her family.

David Rogers has been with the agency for over ten years and is the preferred agent with The Baptist General Convention of Virginia. David Rogers specializes in insuring churches and related ministries throughout Virginia, Maryland, and DC. He is very involved in his local church and enjoys spending time with his family.

Amanda was born and raised in the Roanoke area. She graduated from Roanoke Valley Christian School in 2000, and currently resides in Roanoke with her husband and five children. Amanda began her insurance career as a high school student. She officially joined the staff of Carlton Wright Insurance Agency, now HAWK Advisors Inc., in June of 2000. She joined Sanford Insurance in September of 2016. Amanda has nearly 20 years insurance experience, with the last 11 years being focused on churches and related ministries. She loves spending time with her family and is actively involved in her church.

Lauren has been a Licensed Insurance Agent with Sanford Insurance for over a year and specializes in personal lines. As a personal lines Insurance Agent, Lauren is experienced in auto and home insurance. Lauren attended John Tyler Community College for General Studies.

Herb Bennett lives in Lynchburg and serves much of Central, Southside, and Western Virginia. He has an extensive insurance background and enjoys helping churches review and design their insurance coverage. Herb graduated from Hampden-Sydney College and together with his wife, Lea, have 3 grown children.

Hi, I’m Tori! I grew up in Virginia, but I’ve moved twice before- once to Alabama and once to Florida! A mermaid at heart, I absolutely love the ocean. Searching for shells and sharks teeth is my favorite way to pass the time and I am very proud of my collection that I’ve grown over many
years! When I’m not at the beach, I like to spend my time with my significant other, family and friends, reading good books, and hula-hooping my heart out to some groovy tunes. I am a “fur mama” to two crazy dog sons who love to be outside as much as I do and we really like playing catch and watching birds. I love to appreciate the little things in life and I strive to always find the joy in every little crevice of the world.
